On September 9th, the "Heart to Heart, Yunnan Journey" Myanmar Muse Nanki Hanhe Environmental Protection and Management Project was officially launched in Ruili City. The representatives of China and Myanmar pressed the "start button" for cross-border ecological environment protection cooperation together, opening a new chapter in the coordinated environmental management of border areas.

At the Cross-border Pollution Prevention Cooperation Meeting on the China-Myanmar Border, representatives from both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the protection of the border ecological environment, committed to promoting the normalization and standardization of environmental protection collaboration between the two sides through institutionalized cooperation. The two sides also exchanged views on the joint response to environmental pollution issues along the border and specific measures to strengthen biodiversity protection, reaching a number of consensuses.

The relevant responsible persons of Ruili City People's Government, Ruili City Foreign Affairs Office, Dehong State Environmental Protection Bureau Ruili Branch and so on participated in the activities.

" Heart-to-Heart Yunnan Journey" is a "small but beautiful" people's livelihood public welfare project implemented by the Yunnan Provincial People's Association for Foreign Friendship in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Indian Ocean region. From 2022 to 2025, a total of 45 projects were implemented in Myanmar, covering a wide range of fields such as infrastructure, agricultural technology, drinking water safety, ecological environment protection, poverty alleviation, capacity building, disaster response, etc., making a Yunnan contribution to deepening China-Myanmar胞波 friendship and jointly building a China-Myanmar community of destiny. The Myawaddy Nangxi Hanhe Environmental Protection and Management Project in Myanmar will help both sides to jointly manage transnational rivers by protecting the environment around the rivers and guarding the ecological river channels.
