云南省与韩国全罗北道于2009年建立友好交流合作关系。2020年8月，在两省道共同努力下，双方升格成为友好省道，友好关系迈上新台阶。双方在高层互访、议会、会展、教育、公务员培训、青少年交流等各领域开展了形式多样的交流合作。

Yunnan Province established friendly relations with Jeollabuk-do Province, South Korea in 2009. In August 2020, with joint efforts from both provinces, they took the friendly ties to a new level.

The two sides have engaged in high-level visits, parliamentary exchanges, exhibitions, education, government training, and youth exchanges. 

青少年是中外友好的小使者，丰富多彩的青少年交流架起了双方友谊的桥梁。“六一”国际儿童节刚刚过去，今天，让我们跟随青少年的脚步，一同感受青春和友谊。

Youth serve as the ambassadors of friendship between China and foreign countries, and the vibrant youth exchanges have built a bridge of friendship between the two sides.

全罗北道位于韩国的西南部，面积为8066平方公里，占韩国国土总面积的8.06%，首府为全州市，辖6个市和8个郡。高速公路和国道等与其他市道相连，构成便利交通网络，可方便通往全国任何地方。全罗北道有197万人，约22％的人从事农、林、渔业。全北人淳朴善良，待人亲切。全国闻名的传统国乐和农乐代表了典型的韩国人的形象，并显示出全北人的气质。

Jeollabuk-do Province, located in the southwest of South Korea, has an area of 8,066 km2, accounting for 8.06% of ROK’s total land area. There are six cities and eight counties under its jurisdiction, including the capital Jeonju.

Expressways and state highways connect Jeollabuk-do with the rest of the country, constituting a transport network with easy access to any corner of the country.

Jeollabuk-do has a population of 1.97 million, of which 22% are engaged in agriculture, forestry and fishery. Local people are kind and hospitable, as depicted in the famous traditional Korean music and opera.

Located in southwestern China, Yunnan covers an area of 394,000 square kilometers and has a population of 47 million. Sharing borders with Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar, it’s a powerhouse for China’s opening up to South and Southeast Asia.

粉、汽锅鸡等美食，有大观楼、西山等美景。”云南省昆明市润城学校的小学生们热情回应道。

"Jeonju has rice with bean-sprout soup , Jeonju bibimbap and grilled eel," said the students from Dangbuk Elementary School in Jeollabuk-do. "Yunnan has across-the-bridge rice noodles, pea noodles and steam pot chicken, as well as beautiful sights like Daguan Pavilion and Xishan Mountain," responded happily the students from Runcheng School in Kunming, Yunnan Province.

The youth exchange program between the primary school department of Kunming Rain Town School and Dangbuk Elementary School in Jeollabuk-do is held in October 2022.

2022年10月，昆明润城学校小学部与全罗北道堂北小学青少年交流活动成功举行，这场“天涯若比邻”的“云”端之约让两地120余名学生线上相会，“云”游对方校园课堂，“云”品彼此传统文化。在热烈友好的气氛里，学生们的精彩表演层出不穷。云南民族服装秀、中国茶道、古筝演奏、汉字书法，韩国传统三鼓舞、管弦乐曲、转碟及竹铃游戏等节目赢得掌声喝彩声不断，共唱中韩民歌《茉莉花》《阿里郎》将活动推向高潮。

In October 2022, the youth exchange program between the primary school department of Kunming Rain Town School and Dangbuk Elementary School in Jeollabuk-do was successfully held.

This "virtual" encounter brought together more than 120 students from both locations, allowing them to explore each other's classrooms and experience the traditional cultures online.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the students delivered a series of splendid performances. The Yunnan ethnic costume show, Chinese tea ceremony, Guzheng (an ancient Chinese string-plucked instrument) performance, Chinese calligraphy, as well as the Korean traditional Samulnori drum dance, orchestral music, plate-spinning and bamboo bell game, received continuous applause. Kids from both sides also sang together Chinese folk song "Jasmine Flower" and Korean folk song "Arirang", symbols of the lasting friendship.

两省道青少年交流始于2017年9月，省友协组派云南省青少年合唱团访问韩国全罗北道，在全罗北道儿童音乐节一展歌喉，“同声歌颂，友谊地久天长”“小乖乖，我们来玩猜猜”，歌声时而清澈活泼，时而深情真切，《友谊地久天长》见证了两地青少年心心相印的友谊，也开启了两省道青少年交流之旅。

The youth exchange between the two provinces started in September 2017 when the Yunnan Youth Choir was sent by Yunnan Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries to Jeollabuk-do, where they showcased their singing talents at the Children's Music Festival.

Through singing and interactive games, the two sides fostered deep friendship. The song Auld Lang Syne witnessed the connection between the youth from both places and marked the beginning of the youth exchange between the two provinces.

继云南省青少年合唱团访问全罗北道后，2018年5月，全罗北道青少年代表团回访云南，参加中国云南省—韩国全罗北道青少年交流联谊会，体验寄宿家庭生活，与春城小学学生共打一场篮球，共画一幅工笔画，共做一饼蓝莓饼，将欢声笑语播撒在初夏的校园里、飞驰的高铁上......

Following the visit, a youth delegation from Jeollabuk-do visited Yunnan in May 2018. They participated in the Yunnan Province-Jeollabuk-do Youth Exchange Friendship event, experienced homestay life, played basketball with students from Chuncheng Elementary School, created fine brushwork paintings together, and made blueberry pies.

Laughter and joy filled the campuses and the high-speed trains during the lively exchanges.

2020年，来自师大附中、昆一中、师大附小、莲华小学、师大附属润城学校的青少年积极创作书画作品，参展由韩国全罗北道扶安郡、韩国文艺作品总会联合举办的青少年艺术节。

In 2020, teenagers from High School Affiliated to Yunnan Normal University, Kunming No. 1 High School, Elementary School Affiliated to Yunnan Normal University, Lianhua Primary School, and Rain Town School Affiliated to Yunnan Normal University created paintings and calligraphy works and participated in the Youth Art Festival organized by Buan County in Jeollabuk-do and the Korean Literature and Art Works Association.

以茶为媒，以茶会友，青年之间的交流总是充满活力。2021年11月，中国云南省与韩国全罗北道茶文化交流对话会上，云南农业大学茶学院师生与韩国茶文化协会全罗北道支部青年茶文化爱好者进行茶艺表演和茶道切磋，从“茶园”到“茶杯”的茶香四溢，令人沉醉，中国茶道与韩国茶礼相互碰撞、相得益彰。

Tea, a good medium to bridge the friendship, always brings vibrant exchanges among the youth.

In November 2021, the Tea Culture Exchange Dialogue between Yunnan Province and Jeollabuk-do was held. Students and teachers from Yunnan Agricultural University's Tea Institute and young tea enthusiasts from the Jeollabuk-do branch of the Korean Tea Culture Association showcased their tea art skills and engaged in tea ceremony demonstrations.

 

The fragrance of tea permeated everywhere. From tea gardens to the teacups, the enchanting experience attracted everyone. When Chinese tea ceremony met Korean tea etiquette, they complemented each other harmoniously.

青年棋友，切磋棋艺，其乐无穷。时光步入2022年，正值中韩建交30周年暨中韩文化交流年，云南围棋协会组队参加了韩国全罗北道—中国友城线上围棋友谊赛，为双方青少年交流注入“体育”元素。

Young Go enthusiasts, engaging in friendly matches to improve their skills, found endless joy in the game.

The year 2022 marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea, as well as the year for cultural exchange between the two countries. The Yunnan Go Association formed a team to participate in the online friendship Go matches between Jeollabuk-do and its Chinese sister cities.

This added sport element to the youth exchange between the two sides.

The Jeollabuk-do Korean Style  Pavilion debuted at the 2017 International Sistership Pavilion Area of the South and Southeast Asia Commodity Expo and Investment Fair (SSACEIF) .

The "Friendship Night" reception showcased Korean traditional costumes, unique cuisine and traditional music, attracting many citizens.

2020年，新冠疫情在全球暴发，双方互致关切和慰问，印有“肝胆每相照 冰壶映寒月”诗句的防疫物资漂洋过海，送去云南省与全罗北道守望相助、同舟共济的祝福与支持。

In 2020, the global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic prompted both sides to express concern and solidarity.

Epidemic prevention materials, on whose package were the encouraging lines: "Gallant hearts support each other truly, just like cool moon light reflected in an iced jade pot", were sent to South Korea, carrying blessings and support from Yunnan Province to Jeollabuk-do in the spirit of mutual assistance and unity.

The summer heat carried across the sea the fiery red of Yunnan's rhododendrons, while the sparse summer rain brought back the rich aroma of lavender beneath Mount Chilbosan in Jeollabuk-do.

The exchanges between the two sides have deepened the friendship. The young people are like blooming flowers, nurturing the fragrance between the two sides.
