On July 5th, in the performance of the relaxed and cheerful ethnic Dai ethnic group dance "Drizzle Rain and Bamboo Love", "traveling through middle age, love "Thousands of miles" 2022 Kunming International Friendship Cities Tourism Alliance member cities along the China-Laos Railway (domestic section) cultural and tourism promotion theme day event kicked off at the Mekong River Starlight Night Market in Xishuangbanna.

In December 2021, the China-Laos Railway with a total length of 1,035 kilometers and adopting Chinese standards will be officially opened for operation. The opening of the China-Laos Railway has accelerated the development of the tourism industry along the route, brought benefits to the people of China and Laos, played a positive role in the economic and cultural exchanges between China and Southeast Asian countries, and effectively improved the level of regional connectivity. This event is the first offline event officially organized by the Kunming Friendship Alliance after the opening of the China-Laos Railway. With the railway as the link and the road show as the form, it will strengthen cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation among member cities.

At the event site, the sitcom "Traveling by Train" vividly interprets the more convenient life for tourists after the opening of the China-Laos Railway Tourism scenes; songs such as "The Brightest Star in the Night Sky" sung by the live band made the atmosphere uplifting; interactive games with prizes and quizzes made the citizens and tourists on the scene better understand the tourism characteristics of the cities that are members of the Kunming Union. The official IP image "Kunyouyou" of the Kunyou Alliance was also released at the event site, and relevant leaders participating in the meeting unveiled "Kunyouyou" together.
