Yunnan Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries

On November 17, Shi Yugang, deputy secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, met in Kunming with Burundian Senate President Emmanuel Sinzohagela and his delegation who came to Yunnan to attend the 2024 China International Sister Cities Conference.

Shi Yugang introduced the economic and social development of Yunnan and expressed his willingness to work with Burundi to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, culture, sports and tourism, and sister cities, intensify personnel exchanges, and contribute to the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Burundi. .

Xinzoha Gela said that he hopes to learn from Yunnan’s experience in environmental protection, agriculture, capacity building and other aspects to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields between Burundi and Yunnan to benefit the people of both sides.
