Vietnamese youths enter Yunnan to start their red study journey

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam and the "China-Vietnam Cultural Exchange Year", the opening ceremony of the short-term study study project of the Hanoi Open University in Vietnam, guided by the Provincial Association for Friendship with Foreign Affairs and the Provincial Department of Education and sponsored by Yunnan Open University, was held in Kunming on May 16. 23 Vietnamese college students will start a red study tour in Yunnan to deeply learn and experience Chinese traditional culture.

The friendship between Yunnan Open University and Hanoi Open University in Vietnam began in the 1990s. From personnel visits to academic cooperation and international student education, the two schools have always been hand in hand. Luo Guoquan, Party Secretary of Yunnan Open University, said that this study and study activity is a continuation of the friendship between the two alumni and a new chapter in future pragmatic cooperation. He hopes that young people in China and Vietnam will jointly explore the red gene of China-Vietnam friendship and be inheritors of the traditional friendship between China and Vietnam.

Nguyen Youxiong, deputy consultant general of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Kunming, said that this study can help Vietnamese students improve their Chinese level, improve their professional skills, and relive the traditional friendship between China and Vietnam. He hopes that the two schools can increase understanding, enhance emotions, and deepen cooperation.

The leading teacher of the Hanoi Open University in Vietnam said that he hopes to learn and inspire each other with the students of Yunnan Open University, and hopes that this event can become a new starting point for cooperation between the two schools. Zhu Meiluan, a student representative of the Hanoi Open University in Vietnam, said, "This time we come to Yunnan, we look forward to learning professional knowledge and hope to share Vietnam's cultural characteristics with everyone."

This study project lasts for one month and offers courses in traditional Chinese culture such as Chinese, tea art, ocarina, Chinese painting, Tai Chi, and paper cutting. In order to enable Vietnamese students to deeply understand and experience Yunnan's unique cultural characteristics, the project also arranges practical activities such as red study and study inspections and cultural experiences.
