At the closing ceremony, a sister-city friendship and cooperation project signing ceremony was held. my country has added 8 pairs of international sister cities (provinces and states), including Yuncheng City in Shanxi Province and Uiwang City in South Korea, Xing'an League in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Oriental Province in Mongolia, Daqing City in Heilongjiang Province and Zhongzhou City in North Chungcheong Province, South Korea, Zhongshan City in Guangdong Province and Chilian City in the Nufre Region of Chile, Guiyang City in Guizhou Province and Tripolis City in the Peloponnese Province in Greece, and Lincang in Yunnan Province The city and Kep Province in Cambodia, Yuanjiang Hani and Yi Dai Autonomous County in Yuxi City in Yunnan Province and Vangvieng County in Vientiane Province in Laos, Dunhuang City in Gansu Province and Lumbini Cultural City in Nepal.

At the conference, representatives from Kunming City and 10 local provinces and cities in China and Laos, including Vientiane City, Nanta Province, Chongqing City, Chengdu City, Luang Prabang City, Urumqi City, Yuxi City, Pu'er City, and Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, jointly signed the The "China-Laos Railway Cities Alliance Cooperation Memorandum" aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation among cities along the route in the fields of infrastructure, trade logistics, industrial development, digital economy, cultural tourism and other fields, and to build a community of connected cities with a shared future. A number of cooperation memorandums and cooperation project agreements involving talent training, think tank exchanges, economic and trade cooperation, interconnection and other fields were also signed.

The conference commended Chinese and foreign sister cities. Ten provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities including Yunnan Province, Beijing City, Shandong Province, and 10 cities including Kunming City, Urumqi City, and Shenyang City won the "International Sister City Outstanding Contribution Award". Yunnan Province's counterpart sister cities, Vietnam's Lao Cai Province and Kunming City's counterpart The sister cities of Vientiane in Laos, Asti in Italy, Bio-Bio in Chile, Oregon in the United States, and Bavaria in Germany received the "Excellent Partner Award for Friendship Cities with China".
