From October 16th to 17th, the "Heart-to-Yunnan Trip" 2024 International Sister City Youth Exchange Week came to Dali. More than 50 youth representatives from the United States, Japan, and Australia visited Dali Prefecture in groups. During this period, the Japanese delegation went to Dali City for exchanges.

This exchange event was organized by the Yunnan Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Yunnan Non-Governmental International Friendship Exchange Foundation. It aimed to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on the work of international sister cities, showcase the results of Yunnan Province’s sister city work, and enhance the friendship between young people.

During the event, the delegation visited the Marble Space Museum, Dali City Museum and Jiangzhiji·Dali Folk Art Center to learn about Dali’s long-standing historical and cultural heritage and explore the rich and colorful marble culture, local chronicle culture and folk skills. At the Erhai Lake, the delegation experienced Dali's ecological environment and natural scenery on the spot, and inspected and studied the Erhai Lake protection and management experience represented by the construction of ecological corridors. At Dali University, the delegation walked into the Biological Science Museum to learn about Dali's rich biodiversity and related monitoring and protection work; they walked into the Ethnic Art Museum to see the display, inheritance and teaching achievements of Dali folk art such as clothing, sculptures and musical instruments.

The event also held an exchange performance at the Dali University Music Hall. Teenagers from various countries who visited Dali Prefecture gathered together with Chinese and foreign student representatives of Dali University to have friendly exchanges and interactions in the form of experience speeches, singing and dancing instruments, skill demonstrations and other programs, showing their youthful style.

This exchange activity builds a bridge for communication between Chinese and foreign teenagers, allowing international teenagers to experience the Dali interpretation of "There is a kind of life called Yunnan" and "falling in love with life in Dali", helping to spread the voice of Dali.
