On October 18, the "Xinliantong Yunnan Tour" 2024 Yunnan International Friendship City Youth Exchange Week concluded in Kunming. At the closing ceremony, over 100 foreign youth from 25 international friendship cities in 20 countries, including the United States, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, France, Russia, and Romania, along with Chinese and foreign youth from Yunnan Minzu University, showcased their talents through traditional dances, hometown songs, piano performances, and martial arts demonstrations, and shared their reflections on participating in the youth exchange week activities.

The young people left with a sense of reluctance. They said that the dialogue and exchange with youth from all over Yunnan left a deep impression on them regarding Kunming, Yunnan, and they made many new friends. They hope to have the opportunity to visit Kunming, Yunnan again in the future to further deepen their mutual understanding and friendship. After returning to China, they will share their abundant gains with their classmates, friends, and family, encouraging more people to visit Kunming and fall in love with Yunnan.

During their exchange in Kunming, the teenagers visited the magical and magnificent Stone Forest, danced and sang with the local ethnic minorities, and explored the lively and beautiful Dounan Flower Market, immersing themselves in a sea of flowers and experiencing the most exciting fresh flower auction. The American teenagers also made a special visit to the Kunming Flying Tigers Memorial Hall to relive history. They visited the "Flying Tigers Friendship School"—Kunming Foreign Language School—where they warmly interacted with the students and jointly made a handmade "Chinese Dragon". Of course, they also tasted authentic Kunming delicacies such as steam-pot chicken, Guoqiao noodles, fried potatoes, and fresh flower cakes. All of this left a deep impression and beautiful memories on the teenagers from various countries. The teenagers from Denver and High Mountain all said, "Kunming is really awesome, we love Kunming."
