On December 16, the China-Myanmar Youth Friendship Exchange Activity of the "Guomen Youth Study Tour Camp" was successfully held. Chinese and Myanmar youth gathered together to learn from each other, exchange experiences, and deepen their friendship.

This event was jointly organized by the Yunnan Provincial People's Association for Foreign Friendship, the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, and the Yunnan Provincial Committee for Caring for the Next Generation, under the guidance of the Yunnan Private International Friendship Exchange Foundation, and the three prefectures of Dehong, Honghe, and Xishuangbanna, to build a cross-border exchange platform for youth from China, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Laos.

The opening ceremony adopted a "main venue + online linkage" model, with Mangshi Prefecture of Dehong Prefecture serving as the main venue, and Honghe Prefecture and Xishuangbanna Prefecture hosting online sub-venues, allowing the youth of the Four Nations to participate together through a combination of online and offline methods.

Wang Yu, a full-time vice president of the Yunnan Provincial People's Association for Foreign Friendship, stated that he hopes everyone will act as ambassadors for friendship, disseminators of cultural mutual learning, and practitioners of humanistic exchanges. He urged them to share their observations, experiences, thoughts, and feelings with friends and relatives, introduce the achievements of China's reform and opening up, and the developing Yunnan, thereby injecting youthful vitality into the building of a community with a shared future among neighboring countries.

Li Qingguang, Deputy Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, released the "National Youth Exchange Initiative" at the main venue, calling on youth from all countries to use culture as a bridge and friendship as a bond to deepen cross-border exchanges and cooperation, and to join hands in writing a new chapter of regional friendship. The sharing session of youth representatives was filled with warmth. A Burmese student representative studying in Dehong shared heartwarming moments and reflections on growth during cross-border exchanges based on personal experiences, his words full of appreciation for the China-Myanmar friendship. Subsequently, relevant leaders at the main venue presented "International Youth Exchange Participation Certificates" to the student representatives from Dehong Prefecture participating in the event. On that day, at the China-Myanmar Youth Friendship Exchange Activity organized by the Delong Youth League Prefectural Committee and the Prefectural Foreign Affairs Office, youth representatives from Myanmar and China gathered in Mangshi. Under the theme of "Non-hereditary Charm, Speaking the Future Together," they shared the deep friendship between the Chinese and Myanmar people through diverse formats including field studies, cultural exchanges, and interactive experiences, injecting vibrant youth energy into building a China-Myanmar community with a shared future.

Youth from China and Myanmar successively visited Shitaishan Township's Chudonggua Village, Hegu Coffee Industrial Park, and Dehong Vocational College. In Chudonggua Village, the youth strolled along the Cultural Corridor, closely experiencing the unique charm of the De'ang ethnic minority's intangible cultural heritage skills, participated in a traditional folk dance performance at the Water Drum Square, tasted the rich minority cuisine, and witnessed the tremendous changes in Chinese rural areas amidst laughter and joy, while feeling the diverse and inclusive nature of Chinese culture. At Hegu Coffee Industrial Park, they visited the Coffee Culture Corridor and the product exhibition area, learned in detail about coffee planting and processing, the brand development history, tasted the fragrant coffee on-site, and directly experienced the vitality of Dehong's characteristic industrial development. At the Cultural Corridor of Dehong Vocational College, they personally experienced skills such as Dai paper cutting and fan lacquer painting, carefully savored the De'ang sour tea, deepened their cultural identity through hands-on practice, and bridged the psychological distance through verbal communication.

Myanmar youth Li Haoming said: "This exchange activity allowed me to experience the profound cultural heritage and vibrant development of Chinese culture. During my studies in Mangshi, the lively atmosphere of the Water Splashing Festival and the Menang Zongge Festival, as well as the wonders of the Menghuan Great Golden Pagoda and the Shubu Pagoda, deeply fascinated me. In the future, I hope to be a bridge of friendship between China and Myanmar, sharing my experiences here with more people." Chinese youth Ma Yashu expressed that this cross-cultural exchange is a valuable opportunity to broaden her international horizons.
