In 2016, he was named "Kunming Industry Cultural Exchange Envoy" and an outstanding graduate student. Zhu Kelun's doctoral research direction was microbes and viruses. At that time, he focused on the molecular epidemiology of HPV and its genotype distribution among 10 major ethnic groups in Yunnan Province. 25,000 HPV genotyping tests. The research results of this project provide an important basis for detailed epidemiological estimation of HPV prevalence and genotype distribution in different regions of Yunnan Province.

Ph.D. Later, Zhu Kelun went to South China Agricultural University to do postdoctoral research, and began to teach at South China Agricultural University in 2017; since 2019, he has taught at Northwest University for Nationalities and was hired as an associate professor, and Yunnan has always been a concern in his heart.
