Vietnamese youth visit Yunnan to embark on a red-themed study tour.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of China-Vietnam diplomatic relations and the "China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges", the opening ceremony of the short-term study program for Hanoi Open University, Vietnam, in China, hosted by Yunnan Open University and guided by the Provincial Association of Foreign Exchanges and the Provincial Department of Education, was held in Kunming on May 16. Twenty-three Vietnamese university students will embark on a red-themed study tour in Yunnan to deeply learn and experience traditional Chinese culture.

On May 16, the short-term study program of the Hanoi University of Open and External Languages in Vietnam opened at Yunnan University of Open and External Languages.

The friendship between Yunnan Open University and Hanoi Open University in Vietnam began in the 1990s. From personnel exchanges to academic cooperation and student education, the two universities have always walked hand in hand. Luo Guoquan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Yunnan Open University, said that this study tour is a continuation of the friendship between the two universities, and a new chapter of future practical cooperation. He hopes that Chinese and Vietnamese youth will jointly explore the red genes of China-Vietnam friendship and become the inheritors of the traditional friendship between the two countries.

Deputy Consul General Nguyen Huu Hung of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Kunming stated that this study tour will help Vietnamese students improve their Chinese language skills, enhance their professional skills, and revisit the traditional friendship between China and Vietnam. He hopes that the two schools can increase their understanding, deepen their emotional ties, and strengthen their cooperation.

Teachers from the Open University of Hanoi, Vietnam, expressed their hope to study and inspire each other with the students of the Open University of Yunnan, and also hoped that this event would become a new starting point for cooperation between the two universities. Zhu Meiluan, a student representative from the Open University of Hanoi, said, "Coming to Yunnan this time, we not only look forward to acquiring professional knowledge, but also hope to share the unique characteristics of Vietnamese culture with everyone."

This one-month study tour offers traditional Chinese culture courses such as Chinese, tea ceremony, flute playing, Chinese painting, Tai Chi, and paper cutting. To allow Vietnamese students to deeply understand and experience the unique cultural characteristics of Yunnan, the program also includes practical activities such as red-themed study tours and cultural experiences.
