    September 2021 On the 24th, the first batch of 300,000 doses of Sinopharm's new crown vaccine assisted by the Chinese government arrived in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. Landria Manantani, Minister of Public Health of Malagasy, Ranurumaru, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Office of Malagasy, Taixi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Guo Xiaomei, Ambassador to Madagascar greeted him at the airport and attended the handover ceremony.

   Ambassador Guo said in his speech that the world is still in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Vaccines are an effective means for humans to defeat viruses. Up to now, China has provided or is providing vaccine assistance to more than 100 countries and 4 international organizations, and exported vaccines to more than 60 countries, with a total of more than 1.2 billion doses, ranking first in the world. China firmly supports Madagascar's fight against the epidemic. This donation represents the deep friendship of the Chinese people in supporting the Malagasy people's fight against the new crown epidemic, and is another concrete practice of China's joint efforts to build a community of health for mankind.

  Ambassador Guo said that the new crown vaccine produced in China is safe, Effective and widely trusted in the international community. The Malaysian government is actively promoting the vaccination of the new crown, and the arrival of this batch of Chinese vaccines is just in time. I believe that as the Malagasy government continues to take strong measures, the Malagasy people will be able to finally overcome the epidemic.   Minister of Health Landria Mananta Ni said that as the Madagascan government redoubles its efforts to implement the national vaccination plan, it is an honor to receive 300,000 doses of Sinopharm's new crown vaccine donated by the Chinese government. Sinopharm’s vaccine has been certified by the WHO and the Malaysian Drug Administration, and nearly 150,000 Malaysians will benefit from the vaccination.
