Internal working platform of Yunnan Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries

In April 2024, with the joint promotion of the Yunnan Provincial Foreign Friendship Association and the Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation, Kunming Foreign Language School, Xiangyun No. 2 High School in Dali Prefecture, and the International Leaders School of Dallas, Texas, USA, signed a memorandum online to jointly join the "Flying Tigers Friendship School and Youth Leaders Program". Recently, a delegation of 20 teachers and students from the International Leaders School of Dallas, Texas, USA, organized by the Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation, visited Yunnan to participate in the 2024 Chinese Bridge - "Flying Tigers" themed summer camp for American youth.

On July 3, the delegation visited the Kunming Foreign Language School, the "Flying Tigers Friendship School." Youth from both places gathered to revisit the history of the Flying Tigers and the spirit of the Hump, reflecting on the deep friendship between the Chinese and American military and civilian forces in a precious video of Flying Tigers veterans visiting Yunnan. They also looked forward to a bright future where the younger generation continues to carry on the friendship between China and the United States.

Green, Chairman of the Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation, expressed his gratitude to the Yunnan Provincial Foreign Friendship Association for acting as a bridge, and for jointly promoting the participation of Kunming Foreign Language School, Dali Xiangyun No. 2 High School, and Dallas International Leaders School in the "Flying Tigers Friendship School and Youth Leaders Program". This visit marks the first time Dallas International Leaders School has visited Yunnan since the two schools signed the agreement online, achieving an in-person meeting between the teachers and students of both schools. Chairman Green urged the youth of Yunnan and the United States to be the bonds of Sino-American friendship and to pass on the Flying Tigers spirit from generation to generation.

On the playground, the lively figures of students "skipping rope in various styles" are left behind. In the fields of the "Happy Farm", students explore the mysteries of plant growth, picking fruits and vegetables with their own hands, and reaping a bountiful harvest. With heartfelt effort, the students make "Flying Tigers" friendship cards, writing down their reflections on the trip. The signatures of "Forever Friends", "Unforgettable Journey", and "Most Beautiful Campus" with their classmates capture their friendship in this moment of mutual understanding and affection.

The faculty and students of both schools have jointly agreed that at our next gathering in Yunnan, during the International Youth Exchange Week in Yunnan Province, we will continue to share our friendship and talk about the future together!
