Dali City of Dali Prefecture holds video conference with Deauville City of France

On September 19, under the guidance and promotion of the Provincial Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Wang Jian, Deputy Secretary of the Dali Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, held a video conference with Felipe Ogier, Mayor of Deauville, France, to discuss enhancing the friendship between the two cities and promoting friendly exchanges and cooperation. Representatives from the Provincial Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Foreign Affairs Office of Dali Prefecture and Deauville City attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Wang Jian briefly introduced the situation of Dali City and expressed his willingness to take the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France as an opportunity to work together with Deauville City to continuously strengthen government and non-governmental exchanges and jointly write a new chapter of enhancing friendship, deepening exchanges and promoting cooperation. He sincerely invited Mayor Ogier to lead a delegation to visit Dali again.

Ogier said that he was very happy to participate in this video conference. He sincerely invited friends from Dali to visit Deauville to discuss cooperation between the two cities in education, culture, economy and other aspects, and hoped that the two cities would have more opportunities for friendly exchanges and continuously deepen friendship and cooperation.

Both sides expressed that they will transform the consensus reached at this meeting into results to promote exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as personnel exchanges, cultural and tourism exchanges, and sports, inject new impetus into the development of friendly relations, and make positive contributions to enhancing the economic and social development of the two cities and the well-being of the people.
