It is understood that in 2019, Kunming Medical University and Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine jointly initiated the establishment of the first domestic international multilateral cooperation platform covering medical education and medical care - the South Asia and Southeast Asia Medical Education and Healthcare Alliance. Over the past three years, members of the alliance have carried out a series of cooperation in personnel training, scientific research, academic exchanges, medical technology training, and international cooperation in the fight against the epidemic. At present, the members of the alliance have covered 13 countries in South Asia and Southeast Asia, and the number of member units has increased to 52.
