This emergency food aid is another practical action taken by China to implement the "Concept for Peaceful Development in the Horn of Africa". China put forward this idea at the beginning of this year, aiming to support countries in the region to take ownership of the triple challenge of security, development and governance, and achieve long-term stability, development and prosperity. In order to strengthen communication and coordination with relevant countries and jointly promote the implementation of the concept, China appointed a special envoy for the Horn of Africa affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs last week. This time, it announced to provide emergency food aid to the relevant countries in the Horn of Africa. China is taking concrete actions to promote the implementation of the concept and support the development of the Horn of Africa region.
