Internal working platform of Yunnan Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries

On April 11, the 8th China Dance Festival opened at the Yunnan Provincial Grand Theatre. The event was hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Yunnan Provincial Government, organized by the China Dance Artists Association and the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and co-organized by the Yunnan Provincial People's Association for Foreign Friendship and other units. The theme was "High-Quality Development, All-Round Dance", aiming to promote the development of Chinese dance art in the new era, showcase the achievements of Chinese dance art in the new era, facilitate the dissemination of dance art, and enhance international dance exchange and cooperation.

At the opening ceremony, Li Yi, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Vice Chairman, and Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Writers Association, declared the opening of the Dance Festival. Zeng Yan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Propaganda Department, and Huang Doudou, Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Writers Association, delivered speeches, while Vice Governor Wang Hao attended. After the opening ceremony, the 12th China Dance "Lotus Award" ceremony was held, and the winning works were performed.

Zeng Yan welcomed artists from all over the country on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, hoping to take this grand event as an opportunity to build a platform for exchange and cooperation, establish a regular and long-term mechanism, and jointly create masterpieces of literature and art. At the same time, leveraging Yunnan's geographical advantages and playing the important role of promoting cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and the countries of South and Southeast Asia through the dance festival, she called for the promotion of outstanding traditional Chinese culture to go global.

At the invitation of the Yunnan Provincial People's Association for Foreign Friendship, 19 relevant officials from the consulates in Kunming attended the opening ceremony, including Malaysian Consul General in Kunming Fa Isa, Bangladeshi Consul General in Kunming Shahin Ahmad, Vietnamese Consul General in Kunming Huang Mingshan, Thai Consul General in Kunming Paveewan, Lao Deputy Consul General in Kunming Phet Chanthanak, and Myanmar Deputy Consul General in Kunming Saeng Lertun. The event showcased the excellence of Chinese dance, further enhancing the international influence and recognition of the China Dance Festival, and laid the foundation for promoting more high-quality literary and artistic exchanges between Yunnan Province and South and Southeast Asian countries.

From April 11 to 15, the Dance Festival will adhere to the artistic creation concept of "integration and collision," hosting activities such as the "Dialogue with Creators" exchange seminar, performances of outstanding dance works, public cultural performances, and a campus dance practice week, in order to comprehensively stimulate the creative vitality and vigorous vitality of Chinese dance art through diverse formats.
