On April 11, the 8th Chinese Dance Festival opened at the Yunnan Provincial Grand Theater.The event is sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Yunnan Provincial Government, organized by the Chinese Dancers Association and the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and co-organized by Yunnan People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and other units. To develop and display the achievements of Chinese dance art in the new era, promote the dissemination of dance art, and enhance international dance exchanges and cooperation.

At the opening ceremony, Li Yi, secretary of the party group, vice chairman and secretary of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, announced the opening of the dance festival.After the opening ceremony, the awarding ceremony of the 12th Chinese Dance "Lotus Award" was held, and the award-winning works were exhibited.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, Zeng Yan welcomed artists from all over the country, hoping to take this grand event as an opportunity to build a platform for exchanges and cooperation, establish a normalized and long-term mechanism, and jointly create literary and artistic masterpieces.At the same time, based on the geographical advantages of Yunnan, the dance festival will play an important role in promoting cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and South and Southeast Asian countries, and promote the excellent traditional Chinese culture to go out.

At the invitation of Yunnan People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Consul General of Malaysia in Kunming Faisa, Consul General of Bangladesh in Kunming Zhou Keyi Ahad, Consul General of Vietnam in Kunming Huang Mingshan, Consul General Designate of Thailand in Kunming Pa Viwan, and Deputy Consul General of Laos in Kunming A total of 19 officials from the Consulate General in Kunming attended the opening ceremony, including Consul General Dao Pai Jantanaxin and Deputy Consul General of Myanmar in Kunming Sheng Letun.The event showcased Chinese dance products to them, further enhanced the international influence and popularity of the Chinese Dance Festival, and laid the foundation for promoting more high-quality literary and artistic exchanges between Yunnan Province and South and Southeast Asian countries.
