Internal working platform of Yunnan Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries

On May 25, 2024, the "Heart-to-Heart Yunnan Tour" donation ceremony for the organic rice cultivation project in Bali, Indonesia, and a seminar themed "Exploring Potential and Developing Organic Agricultural Tourism Village Strategy" were successfully held in Jatiruwi, Bali. More than 200 people attended the event, including the head of the Yunnan Provincial Commercial Representative Office in Indonesia, the Director of the Bali Provincial Tourism Department, representatives of the Tabanan County Government, Bali Zenapura University, Denpasar Maha Saraswati University, Indonesia Tourism Village Development Network Foundation, assisted farmers and local media.

After singing the national anthems of the two countries, local people performed a unique Balinese dance performance to ignite the scene. The Yunnan Provincial Commercial Representative Office in Indonesia handed over a donation plaque to the project partner, the Indonesian Tourism Village Development Network Foundation. The head of the Yunnan Provincial Commercial Representative Office in Indonesia said that the project is not only a reflection of the deep friendship between the two peoples, but also a concrete measure for the friendly provinces to work together to promote the sustainable development of agriculture. All parties to the project will uphold the spirit of mutual respect and win-win cooperation, and jointly promote the deepening of pragmatic cooperation between friendly provinces. The representative of Bali Province highly praised the positive role of the project in promoting the development of ecological agriculture in Bali Province, saying that the project will help benefit agricultural communities and protect local ecology. It is hoped that the villages under the jurisdiction of Tabanan County will be built into project demonstration sites in the future, and take the opportunity of the project to continue to deepen the friendly relations between Bali Province and Yunnan Province.

The project is implemented by the Yunnan Provincial Commercial Representative Office in Indonesia under the entrustment of the Yunnan Provincial Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. It will support organic rice cultivation, improve local farmers' planting techniques, help farmers increase their income, and enhance the added value of organic ecological agriculture and rural tourism.

Yunnan Province and Bali Province of Indonesia formally established a sister province relationship on November 22, 2003. Since then, the two provinces have carried out fruitful friendly exchanges and cooperation in the fields of personnel exchanges, tourism, culture, etc. The "Heart-to-Heart Yunnan Tour" project landed in Indonesia for the first time, which will help further enrich the connotation of practical cooperation between the two provinces, deepen the people-to-people bond, and serve the construction of a community with a shared future for China and Indonesia.
