On March 20, the Provincial Association for Friendship with Foreign Affairs held the launch meeting of the 2025 "Xin Unicom Yunnan Tour" project, summarizing the project situation, practices and achievements over the past three years, clarifying the key directions and key areas of project support in the future period, reporting the results of the first batch of projects in 2025, launching the second batch of project application work, and making arrangements for the coordinated implementation of the 2025 project and promoting quality improvement and efficiency improvement. Nearly 70 responsible persons from relevant enterprises, institutions, mass organizations, scientific research institutes, universities, hospitals, social organizations, foreign offices (friendly associations) of 16 prefectures (cities) and some Yunnan Provincial Business Representative Offices attended the meeting online and offline.

Wang Yu said that since 2022, under the coordinated leadership of the provincial party committee and government, the Provincial Association for Friendship with Foreign Affairs has worked together with more than 60 units to implement 142 "Xinlianyunnan Tour" projects for 18 countries including South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Indian Ocean region, benefiting nearly 4 million people. The project reflects "big actions" with "small but beautiful", benefiting people's livelihood and gathering people's hearts, vividly telling the story of people's blind dates jointly built the "Belt and Road", which has been unanimously praised by relevant state ministries and commissions, governments of the country where the project is located, and people. Over the past three years, the project has accumulated a lot of good practices, experiences and models, but there is still room for improvement. Wang Yu pointed out that in order to further promote the quality and efficiency upgrade of the project, the Provincial Association for Friendship with Foreign Affairs has set annual goals for 2025-2027. This year is the "Year of Improvement of Quality and Efficiency" for the project. It will focus on cultivating and building the first batch of project display points, consolidating brand projects, and promoting the sharing of the "four good resources" of friendly cities, friendly organizations, friendly people, and friendly villages with project implementation units, so as to achieve mutual promotion and common development. All units should effectively deploy and promote project work with their external work, strengthen full-process supervision, ensure standardized management and use of project funds, and create clean, green and sustainable projects; they should effectively strengthen performance awareness, and make good planning and design with results-oriented approaches to ensure that funds can maximize their use benefits; they should focus on creating project display points and humanistic brand projects, fully release the aggregation effect, and promote the implementation of points, demonstration and influence; they should focus on local characteristics, deeply explore Yunnan's unique private diplomatic resources, strive to make highlights and innovations; they should focus on resource coordination and linkage, actively explore the "front + rear" model, encourage implementation units to cooperate to plan and carry out projects, and form a win-win pattern of cooperation; they should pay attention to project sustainability, plan and manage and maintain after construction in advance, and ensure that the project can play a long-term role in the long term. The Provincial Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries will work closely with all relevant units to maintain and build the project brand well, promote national friendship with "heart-to-heart connection" and make positive contributions to building a community with a shared future for mankind.
