As an international comprehensive university, Mae Fah Luang University has great potential for exchanges and cooperation with universities in Yunnan Province. The Yunnan Provincial Friendship Association will actively play the role of a bridge and link to facilitate exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, and promote exchanges and interactions between the middle schools of the two provinces. It is hoped that the two sides will further strengthen exchanges and visits between students and teachers, continue to deepen pragmatic cooperation, enrich the connotation of sister city exchanges, and consolidate friendly provincial relations.

Daruni Watanasiriwanko said that she was grateful for the thoughtful and meticulous arrangements made by the Yunnan Provincial Friendship Association. The delegation's visit was compact and fulfilling, and they personally felt the gratifying achievements of Yunnan's rapid development in recent years. The delegation visited several top universities and middle schools in Yunnan Province, hoping to establish long-term cooperative relations and promote the implementation of exchange and cooperation projects, especially in the fields of medicine, health, humanities, science and technology, agriculture and other professional fields.

Yunnan Province and Chiang Rai Province formally established a sister provincial relationship in September 2000. Since then, high-level visits between the two sides have been frequent, friendly exchanges have developed steadily, and a long-term cooperation mechanism has been formed in education, university cooperation, and especially in the field of youth exchanges. Over the years, nearly 200 young people have participated in the youth exchange visits between sister cities, building a bridge for mutual learning and mutual reference between the young generations of the two provinces.
