From January 15th to 16th, the 2025 China-Vietnam Cross-border Spring Festival Gala and Border People’s Gala held in Hekou County, Honghe Prefecture and Lao Cai City, Lao Cai Province, Vietnam, to “Build Solid Friendship and Work Together for Common Development” in the Red River Basin, China-Vietnam cultural exchanges, The actors worked together to create an unforgettable audio-visual feast for the audiences of the two countries. During the same period, activities such as the Spring Festival exchange visits of party and government delegations from Honghe Prefecture and Lao Cai Province and annual party and government meetings, exchanges and exchanges of news media in the Red River Basin, friendly exchanges between Chinese and Vietnamese youths in the Red River Basin, and Chinese-Vietnamese special New Year shopping streets were carried out.

Since 2022, the Provincial Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and relevant border states and cities have co-organized 9 "Border People's Gala" events with Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar, with a total of more than 200,000 participants, and contributed to Yunnan and Vietnam signing a sister-city friendship agreement. 60 cooperation documents were issued in , economy, trade, education, tourism, youth activities, etc., which aroused strong response from the people on the border. The "Border People's Gala" has become an important working platform for my country and neighboring countries to carry out people-to-people diplomacy and promote border opening up in border areas. At the beginning of the new year, the successful holding of the "2025 China-Vietnam Border People's Gala" series of activities opened a new chapter in the "China-Vietnam People-to-People Exchange Year", adding vitality to the inheritance of China-Vietnam traditional friendship and making new contributions to the development and prosperity of border areas.
