On May 30, the Provincial Party Committee’s Party and Mass Organizations Work Conference was held in Kunming.

Provincial Party Secretary Wang Ning issued instructions, and Provincial Party Deputy Secretary Shi Yuguang attended and spoke.

Wang Ning pointed out in his instruction that in recent years, mass organizations at all levels in the province have thoroughly studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on mass work, focused on strengthening the "three characteristics" and eliminating the "four tendencies", and solidly promoted the reform of mass work, showing new achievements in serving development, serving society, and serving the masses, and made positive contributions to the economic and social development of Yunnan. Embarking on a new journey, mass organizations at all levels in the province must adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, benchmark the new requirements of the new era, take on new missions, show new achievements, and continuously promote the work of mass organizations in our province to a new level. We must persist in putting political construction first, deeply understand the decisive significance of the "two establishments", resolutely implement the "two safeguards", and always maintain a high degree of consistency with the Party Central Committee in ideology, politics and actions, and ensure that the work of mass organizations always moves forward in the direction guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping. We must strengthen ideological and political guidance, unremittingly use the Party's innovative theories to unite hearts and souls, deepen publicity and education, carry forward fine traditions, lead the new style of the times, and unite and guide the people of all ethnic groups in the border areas to unswervingly listen to and follow the Party.We must give full play to the role of bridges and links, closely focus on the overall situation and central tasks of the province's work, and organize and mobilize the masses to work hard and make contributions in promoting the practice of Chinese-style modernization in Yunnan. We must continue to deepen the reform of mass organizations, innovate service methods, improve service quality and efficiency, create service brands, and effectively enhance the attractiveness, cohesion, and combat effectiveness of mass organizations. We must strengthen and improve the party's leadership over mass organizations, further improve the institutional mechanisms for the party's leadership of mass organizations, strengthen the construction of the leadership team and cadre team of mass organizations, and provide a strong political guarantee for the high-quality development of the province's mass organizations.

The meeting stressed that mass organizations were created by the Party and must not compromise, make conditions or make changes in resolutely implementing the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee. The cause of mass organizations is an important part of the Party's cause and must contribute to the construction of a strong country and national rejuvenation. Mass organizations are fighting teams that charge forward and must dare to fight and have the courage to self-revolution. Mass organizations are the masses' own organizations and must ensure that their contact and services are tangible, perceptible and effective. Mass organizations are an important force in promoting the modernization of the national governance system and governance capabilities and must explore innovation and actively participate. Mass work is a fundamental and basic work of the Party and must be managed together to form a joint force.
