Internal working platform of Yunnan Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries

On February 21st, the launch ceremony of the "Heart to Heart·Yunnan Journey" Myanmar Yangon Dagon达 Solar Street Lamp Project was held in Yangon. Wang Yubao, Deputy Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Governor of Yunnan Province, Chen Hai, Ambassador of China to Myanmar, Soe Thone, Chief Minister of the Yangon Province, Zaw Win, Minister of Natural Resources of the Yangon Province, Bo Ht, Chairman of the Development Committee of Yangon City, Ngwe Wai, Chairman of the Yangon Electric Power Company, Zhang Shijin, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Yunnan Provincial People's Government and President of the Yunnan Provincial People's Association for Foreign Friendship, Wang Zhengying, Director of the Yunnan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Xia Junsong, Director of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Transport, Yang Mu, and representatives of the project implementation and recipient parties attended the event.

" Heart Connection·Yunnan Journey" is a series of "small but beautiful" public welfare and people's livelihood projects implemented by the Yunnan People's Association for Foreign Affairs in neighboring countries. This year, the project will install 40 sets of solar street lights on the roads of Dajida Town, Yangon, improving the night lighting conditions of public places in the local area, saving municipal electricity charges, promoting community green development, and further deepening the胞波情谊 between China and Myanmar.

Since 2022, 24 "Heart to Heart·Yunnan Travel" projects have been implemented in Myanmar, covering a wide range of fields such as infrastructure, industrial development, agricultural technology, and cultural education. Among them, with the support and assistance of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, the Yunnan Provincial Trade Promotion Office in Myanmar has implemented three projects, including the renovation of the sports field of the Yangon school, the installation of solar street lights in Yangon, and the donation of relief materials for the "Mucha" wind disaster recovery.

From 2022 to 2023, the 92 "Heart to Heart·Yunnan Journey" projects implemented by the Yunnan People's Association for Foreign Friendship benefited 48 communities and villages in 17 countries, 153 primary, middle, and high schools, and directly or indirectly benefited more than 2.6 million people.
