Deepen cooperation with sister citiesThe Provincial Association for Foreign Friendship held a summary meeting of the "Heart to Heart, Yunnan Journey" project for 2025 and a kick-off meeting for the application process for 2026.
The Provincial Association for Foreign Friendship held a project summary meeting for the "Heart to Heart, Yunnan Journey" program.
On January 20th, the Provincial Foreign Friends Association held the 2025."Heart to Heart Yunnan Trip"Project Work Summary Meeting and the 2026 Application Launch Meeting, with the participation of more than 100 people from 62 units, including foreign affairs offices (friendship associations) of prefectures and counties, enterprises and institutions, mass organizations, scientific research institutes, universities, hospitals, the media, social organizations, and the Yunnan Provincial Commerce Representative Office in neighboring countries, were held online and offline. The meeting reported on the phased achievements of the project since 2022, Wang Yu, the full-time vice president, comprehensively reviewed and summarized the work and deployed the key work for 2026. Yang Sheng, the second-level inspection, shared his experience in project management, and 12 units exchanged their experience and practices.
Under the active planning and close coordination of all units,"Heart to Heart Yunnan Trip"The project has made an important leap from "nothing to something" and from "something to better", its international influence and Yunnan's recognition have been continuously improved, and it has become an important platform for warming the hearts of the people, benefiting the people's livelihood, and gathering public opinion. It has further strengthened the friendly ties with relevant countries and regions, broadened the channels for opening up to the outside world, enhanced the ability of exchanges and cooperation, and served the local economic and social development.
2026 marks the starting point of the "15th Five-Year Plan" and the "Year of Demonstration and Leading" for the project. All units should build on the geographical advantages and distinctive industries of Yunnan Province, effectively enhance their ability to serve the overall situation, solidly lay the foundation for long-term development, significantly enhance the demonstration effect of the project, and strengthen the effectiveness of foreign publicity. With more solid steps and more pragmatic measures, we will promote the project to achieve a transformation from "good to excellent", and work together to write a new chapter of state-to-state exchanges, people-to-people exchanges, and hearts-to-hearts exchanges.
