The thirteenth plenary meeting of the China-Russia Friendship, Peace and Development Committee was held simultaneously in Beijing and Moscow through video connections from the main and sub-sessions.

Dear Chairman Xia Baolong and Chairman Boris Titov!

In the past two years, due to the impact of the new crown epidemic and the lack of innovation awareness, the work of our Old Friends Council has been limited.

In the severe and special environment, we old diplomats have overcome difficulties and still pay close attention to the new characteristics of the development of Sino-Russian relations under the new situation , new trends, and use new media and other platforms to actively speak out, tell vivid stories about the Sino-Russian strategic partnership of cooperation, and do what we can to consolidate the good-neighborly friendship between the two countries.

On the occasion of the grand celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between China and Russia, it serves as a witness to the vicissitudes of Sino-Russian relations in the past half a century For those who write articles or lectures based on our personal experience, we interpret the practical significance and strategic value of "friendship for generations and never be enemies" between the two countries, emphasize drawing wisdom from history and actively offer advice and suggestions, so as to contribute to the development of Sino-Russian relations in the new era firewood.
