Deputy Governor Sozuki of Iwate Prefecture in Japan visits Yunnan
From July 24-26, a delegation from Iwate Prefecture, Japan, led by Vice Governor Sozuki, visited Yunnan. During this period, Yang Shaocheng, Director of the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and President of the Provincial Association for Foreign Friendship, held a work exchange with the delegation from Iwate Prefecture to further deepen the friendly relations and practical cooperation between Yunnan Province and Iwate Prefecture.
Yang Shaocheng expressed appreciation for the long-standing emphasis on exchanges and cooperation with Yunnan Province by Iwate Prefecture, and congratulated the Yunnan Affairs Office in Iwate Prefecture on being awarded the "Embassy Award" by the Consulate General of Japan in Chongqing. He briefly introduced the achievements of Yunnan's economic and social development in recent years, and hoped to continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in trade, economy, education, agriculture, and youth, to enhance understanding and friendship between the two peoples, to promote common development, and to make more local contributions to serving the development of Sino-Japanese relations.
Mitsuo苏o木 expressed gratitude for the support provided by Yunnan Province to the Yunnan Affairs Office in Iwate Prefecture. He stated that in recognition of the fruitful exchange and cooperative relationship between the two prefectures, in July, the Chinese Embassy in Japan selected Iwate Prefecture to host a seminar on "Cherishing Peace and Promoting Friendship." The Consulate General of Japan in Chongqing will present the "Minister of Foreign Affairs Award" to the Yunnan Affairs Office. The friendly exchange and cooperative relationship between the two sides has spanned a decade (12 years), and as we stand at a new starting point, Iwate Prefecture will join hands with Yunnan Province to promote more practical cooperation, striving to write a new chapter in the friendly exchange and cooperative relationship between the two sides.
